Landon, Are you running NetworkManager on your install of Ubuntu 10.10? If yes, I'd suggest moving your /etc/network/interfaces out of the way. On my Debian and Ubuntu installs the only stanza in interfaces is lo. With NetworkManager, plugging into a new wired network will automatically search out a new DHCP lease. I'd think that's what you want. Ryan
