[lug] Help request: Not able to activate networking on recovery mode. Ubuntu 11.10

Do you have anything for starting dbus in /etc/init.d? Maybe something
like /etc/init.d/dbus. If so, try starting it manually.

SSH from another system while the system is up with the black screen and look at
/var/log/Xorg.log and maybe /var/log/{xdm|kdm|gdm}.
