I read the Wikipedia article at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DKIM which 
says "The /verifier/ recovers the signer's public key 
<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Public-key_cryptography> using the DNS 
<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Domain_Name_System>, and then verifies 
that the signature matches the actual message's content."

 From the references it looks like you should check
