tries to install a startup script in /etc/init.d -- i would create a 
backup of the original script and then go ahead with the installation
and after that reinstall the original fontservers startup script, after
renaming the fontastic script (but make shure that you add the neccessary
links to this script to the relevant runlevel directories).
You could also use the fontastic server only but you either loose all
your fonts delivered with XFree or need to install them in the fontastic
server (doable, but pretty painfull, see the following article:
