In spite of your experience, Jed, I think APC is one of the best
consumer-level UPS brands (followed by Tripplite).   FWIW, if I had a
serious (i.e., commercial) conglomeration of computers that HAD to stay up,
I'd probably bite the bullet and lay out the cash for a Falcon unit.
