About The Postion:

We are looking for folks ready, willing, and able to work in a fast-paced
startup environment. We take a pragmatic approach to building our software
which requires a broad palette of experience including system/network
architecture, and knowledge of various software environments. The perfect
candidate would enjoy working with a high energy development team to roll
out and maintain large scale distributed applications. You should be highly
organized, enjoy living at the command line, scripting repetitive tasks,
and configuring systems. If you feel you've got it all, or have expertise
in a relevant subset of the areas described here, we'd like to hear from
you.

Required Skills:

Expert at shell scripting and at least one higher-level language
Expert level understanding of Linux servers, specifically RHEL/CentOS
Comfortable with cloud technologies such as Amazon AWS and OpenStack with
KVM
Comfortable configuring DNS, DHCP, and LAN/WAN technologies
Strong experience with network monitoring systems, Nagios a plus

Desired Skills:

Previous experience in a high-energy environmen
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work unsupervised
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing
deadlines and requirements
Willing to work outside of normal business hours and participate in an
on-call rotation
Willing to travel to support equipment in other locations
Bonus Points: Window Server experience; Experience with high volume
streaming technologies; Ruby; Java; Previous experience in a start-up
environment; Git, Cruise, and yum

Responsibilities:

Be part of the design and implementation of new and existing Linux server
systems
Perform system administration tasks including builds from bare-metal and
complex troubleshooting
Diagnose and repair server hardware
Diagnose and repair complex application issues
Participate in providing IT and Ops support to a Mac and Linux heavy small
company
