Do anyone have any advice on how to increase the size of the root partition
in Ubuntu running as a VM on Azure?

Working on a client's VM on Azure. Apparently when he setup the VM, he
didn't specify drive size so it defaulted to 30GB on the root partition, and
we need around 80GB. Is there a way to resize this without jumping through
all sorts of hoops?
