The August Boulder Linux Users Group meeting is coming up

Speaker: Alessandro Fanfarillo

Title: Introduction to Parallel Programming

Abstract: In the last decade, multi-core architectures have become
an unavoidable choice even for domestic users. Limits in heat
dissipation, memory speed and implicit parallelism impose the presence
of many and slower cores in the future architectures. Parallel
programming techniques are a needful knowledge in order to guarantee
the efficient usage of the future computer processors.

I'll present a general introduction on the most common parallel
patterns, models, paradigms and technologies,
providing key examples for an immediate and effective parallel
programming.
