That's a topic I wouldn't mind knowing more about...becoming a maintainer of a package that has been orphaned. Unfortunately, it's been a long time since I've been able to go to any BLUG meeting...even if it were a topic I wouldn't be able to go.

$ cat dead.package2014-11-17: Retired, because it was orphaned for more than six weeks or depends on a package that was orphaned for more than six weeks

so basically it is in need of a maintainer in Fedora. If you end up liking it, perhaps you could be that person...
