On the other side of the coin, my WD Green has done its job since 2012
on my backup server. The deal is that my backup server is used only
every couple days, so the WD green is spun down 47 out of 48 hours, and
continuously running for about 15 minutes in the 48th house. It's the
perfect use for a drive that spins itself down after a few minutes of
inactivity.

But yeah, there's no way I'd have a WD green on my Daily Driver Desktop.
