[lug] Fedora on a slab

No, I haven't. That seems like it would nullify the point of buying pre-installed. Call me unimaginative, but I can't imagine that upgrading a machine past Lenovo's max memory config would be a supported configuration. The point of buying a machine with Fedora pre-installed is to get a machine that has been thoroughly tested with, and is supported with, Fedora, so that if something I care about doesn't work, I can ask the seller to make it work. If I buy a machine they sell with 16 GiB and I install 32 GiB, and it doesn't work, and I call them to make it work... Well, I guess they probably won't be able or willing to help me with that.

Do you happen to know any sellers that sell a Fedora machine with 32G of memory?

Have you asked if they would sell it to you without memory or with the lowest option available for you to upgrade it on your own?

I have verified with Lenovo twice in chat. They do not have an option that satisfies both requirements.

Do they make the hw you need just without Fedora on it or not? If so, contacting them might get you what you want.

I want your machine seller recommendations. I'm looking for a Fedora laptop with 32GiB RAM.

I got all excited when I heard that Lenovo would be making laptops with Fedora, and even more excited when I saw that they *are* making laptops with Fedora. But then, I went to buy one and found that the max memory is 16 GiB. I can't work with that, anymore. My old System76 Oryx Pro 2 has 32GiB, and I can't think of a good reason to buy a new laptop that is less beefy than my old laptop, at least while my old laptop still works at all.

So, my idea of perfect is exactly one click up from my current laptop. If System76 shipped with Fedora or even a Fedora-based Pop, this would be easy, but they don't, so it's not.
