Minor correction/addition to all replies so far:

His initial question states "is offering".  The newspaper article
announced that EchoStar announced a new service "to be introduced
nationwide by the end of the year."  It also announced that
DirecTV has already announced a new service, also to be available
_later this year_, being developed in conjunction with America Online.

Also be aware, since many on this list have specific feelings about
MicroSoft, that Gilat is partially owned by MicroSoft (mentioned way 
down in the article).
