[lug] Forwarding or routing question

Ultimately the DSL will have static IP.  From what I understand, the only
thing you really need on the DSL end is a valid IP that USWest knows
about.  The DSL modem does masquerading from the valid routable IP to the
10.0.0.x network.  This is good for security because you have protection
from the DSL modem preventing inside access.   However, it's not good if
you are hoping to serve web pages.  

My problem though has been that I can't get packets to be forwarded
through the ppp link at all.  I have compiled the kernel with ip
forwarding enabled and /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward has a value of 1.
I'm now playing with ipfwadmin since the machine is RedHat 5.0.  If this
doesn't work, I'm going to be totally baffled.
