Cable modems are supposed to be slowly becoming available in the
Boulder area, since June. However, I'm theoretically on a list to get
automatic notification when they *do* become available for me
personally and I have not heard a word. I remain interested, because
the wiring in my neighborhood is so poor, that I can't get a clean
line of good enough quality to run DSL. Meanwhile, as I've mentioned
before, the microwave link I use is also around $50 per month and
is much better than dialup for anyone unable to get DSL.
