All of these should be workable, at minimum.  Personally, I would choose
RedHat Linux 6.1 out of these options.  6.5 is too new, too likely to be
unstable.  6.1 is the next step down.

Would any one be able to tell me which version of Linux would best be suited
for
installing a Phillip Cd- writer and if so is it very hard to do?
I have Linux 5.0 , 5.2 , 6.0, 6.1 and new 6.5
