Thanks for the pointers to the USB information. Now any pointers on
getting the wheel to work?

I've added in to my XF86Conig file:

Buttons 5
ZAxisMapping 4 5

indicating that rolling the wheel one way would be button 4 and the
other 5.
How do I bind these buttons to scroll in a window?
