[lug] PPPd problem

I've got an external Supra 56K modem connected to my ttyS0 serial port
(verified 16550A UART) and when I dial up to my provider, I login in okay
but pppd dies while waiting for a ppp connection. Here's the error
message:

Dec 17 10:46:18 gypsy pppd[1874]: pppd 2.3.10 started by root, uid 0
Dec 17 10:46:18 gypsy pppd[1874]: Using interface ppp0
Dec 17 10:46:18 gypsy pppd[1874]: Connect: ppp0 <--> /dev/ttyS0
Dec 17 10:46:48 gypsy pppd[1874]: LCP: timeout sending Config-Requests
Dec 17 10:46:48 gypsy pppd[1874]: Connection terminated.
Dec 17 10:46:48 gypsy pppd[1874]: Exit.

So, I changed /etc/ppp/options to include "-all" so that I take all of the
default values that the ppp server that I'm connecting to gives me, and I
get the following error:

Dec 17 10:50:53 gypsy pppd[1912]: defaultroute option is disabled

Does anyone have a fix for this? I'm running the 2.2.5 kernel with pppd
version 2.3.10.

Thanks!
