Interliant Consulting needs a Senior Level UNIX (Solaris) System Admin to
work for 4-8 weeks in the Denver area on a contractual basis.

Senior-level UNIX engineers also possess the following skills:
· Solid knowledge of Sun hardware and kernel optimization
· Solid knowledge of several UNIX operating systems
· Solid experience configuring and troubleshooting UNIX Internet and
network applications: DNS, NFS, NIS, NIS+, Sendmail
· UNIX operating system expert:  familiarity with System V and BSD
operating systems, SunOS and Solaris
· Knowledge of C programming
. Jumpstart a plus but not required.

 Senior-level engineers possess the following base of skills:
· A 4 year degree in computer science or relevant technical area or
equivalent experience
· Excellent problem-solving skills
· Extensive project or personnel management experience; several years of
experience as a project lead, either for internal or client related projects
· 4+ years experience managing multi-OS networks
· 4+ years experience working and relating with clients in a
consulting-type atmosphere
· Superior team, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
· Ability to write proposals, policies, and technology plans
· Solid knowledge of TCP/IP and TCP/IP services such as SMTP, HTTP, and
FTP; as well as subnets, LAN/WAN and routing issues, Cisco router
configuration, and network topology
· Thorough understanding of security issues including installation of
firewalls
