I run X/FVWM2, Applixware, Gimp 1.1.15 and Netscape 4.7 all at the same
time on my laptop with only 32MB, but I run stock Red Hat 5.2. You can run
fine in 32MB, even doing some simple graphics work (re: web based stuff).
The problem is starting to be bloat in the distributions. It's all free
stuff, so they throw everything in and assume you need it. That's balony.
And a poor assumption on most distro's part.
