I want to use shosts to allow a backup script to backup a remote
system.  Here's my problem.  

The tape drive is connected to backuphost.local.net

The system I want to backup is webhost.external.net, there is a firewall
(firewallhost) in between them.  When I login from backuphost to webhost
it shows up as if I were coming from firewallhost (I'm assuming because
of the IP masquerading).  When I setup the .shosts file to allow
firewallhost (and put ssh_pub_key from backuphost in known_hosts), I
still get a password prompt.  If I set it with the key from firewallhost
then I still get the password prompt if I come from backuphost.  If I
come from firewallhost it works fine.

How can I get ssh to recognize me  from the backuphost so that I can do
remote backups?

Alternatively,  any ideas on a different method to allow me to backup
the webhost to the tape drive on backuphost?
