All you need to do is put all of your IDE devices onto the secondary IDE
controller.  Your CDROM is most likely already connected to that.  Just make the
CD slave and your HDD master and don't connect anything to your primary IDE
controller.  Your system should be able to boot from your SCSI device without
problems then.
