[lug] A question!

Is DSL faster than Cable modem.  I own a cable modem and i just heard about Broadband saying they now give FREE DSL.  They say it is faster because it uses a single phone line and cable it attached to a network of users.  Is this true?  Could you please, if you know, inform me on which is faster and better to have?
