Although not directly answering your question, this page might be helpful as it
is a listing of various laptops that will run Linux. If you can't find someone
selling something with it pre-installed, it might be useful in giving an idea
how much trouble it would be to install it yourself. Red Hat seems to be the
default version selected for installation by retailers.
