[lug] X screen resolutions?

I hand edited XF86Config this weekend, adding resolutions of
640x480, 800x600, 1024x768 and 1280x1024.

I can switch resolutions fine with alt-bs-+, but the lower resolutions
are showing a portion of the 1280x1024 desktop. Is this something
that is happening with the window manager (enlightenment)?

I'd like to have a 2D environment of 1024x768 and have the 
1280x1024 used for 3D gaming under Unreal Tournament.
