I aplogise for the last message. Somehow, the formatting got lost. Here is a (hopefully) more readable copy.

I am attempting to set up an FTP server for my company on Red Hat 6.2. We need to allow customers to upload files to this site, which our employees then need to be able to retrieve from Win9x boxes.

I have created FTP only accounts for clients so that they can send therir files, and they can overwrite them if they need to send updated information. I have set up a group (internal) for employees so that they can get into the client directories to retrieve the files. I would like to set the ownership of uploaded files in these client directories, but I can't seem to get it to work.

I also have an upload directory for anonymous file uploads.

My ftpaccess file has the following:
upload relative class=client / ~ yes *
internal 0660

When I upload a file to the client directory, the ownership is set to the client for the account and the group. When I upload to the upload directory, the ownership is set to the client and the group is set to internal, the way I want it to work.

How can I get uploads into the client's private directories to be assigned to the internal group instead of the client's private group?
