If his video is VESA compliant, he could set that up. I know I had
(have?) to set use VESA on my ATI
on my desktop, to get it running X. SUSE is probably the best for X,
because they seem to be taking the lead in developing new x servers.
If he can, have him check the manufacture's web site for chip set, to
make sure.
