I have another machine with a trident chip that is related to this
one (the trident cyberblade e4-128). I run Linux SUSE 6.4.
The best solution I have found for my chip is to use the frame buffer device
("fbdev") and the version 4 X server (the kernel must also be
configured to use the frame buffer module). The server is slow but solid in
this mode at 1024x768. It is a shame that the hardware is not being
exploited but I havent been able to find any appropriate drivers for
my card.
