[lug] Linux on notebooks

I just got a cheap Toshiba satellite that I have running linux on. The sound
also works with a beta driver from 4 Front. Only thing is, I discovered, is
a software modem. so.. I had to leave windows on there to use the modem. oh
well. It came with Lotus software that is relatively nice.
elinux.com seems to sell all kinds of stuff with linux in mind. and you get
a free t-shirt.
If I knew anything about device drivers, I'd try to hack a modem driver up.
Oh, well. Something to look forward too.
