If you look up those cards at Adaptec, you'll see that some are single
channel, others are dual. Some are also normal 32 bit pci slot, others
require 64 bit pci. I'm using an integrated 64 bit version, it's
incredibly fast. These are ultra 160 controllers, that work with any LVD
drive (they don't magically make the older 80 Mb/s any faster, but they
work normally). Ultra 160 drives are themselves not that much more in
price than any other LVD.
