While I know nothing about Acrobat for Linux, generic troubleshooting
procedure would suggest that you look for configuration files that Acrobat
might have placed in your home directory.  Since it's just dying for you
and not for other users, it sounds like something in your ID's Acrobat
configuration has been corrupted or changed.
