[lug] Netatalk?? Or is there a better solution??

I used Netatalk at the beginning of the year to connect my iMac to Linux.
But I wasn't all that impressed with it. Is anyone using anything
different? 

I see that the 2.4 kernel is designed to better support apple talk. But
all I found was a beta. Anyone know the release date for the stable??
