[lug] RPM question

Hello everyone,

I am running into an RPM catch-22 (see below). The question is, how do I
manually pull out/complete information that RPM messed up with?

I am trying to run ObjectManager 1.1 on RH 6.2 using Oracle 8.1.6. I
installed oracle-libs-8.0-1.i386.rpm thinking I needed it. When I run
OM, it tells me I need libclntsh-1.0-1.i386.rpm. When I try to install
it, I'm told there is a conflict with the oracle-libs package, so I try
to uninstall it (the oracle-libs package using "rpm -e ..."), but then
I'm told  it's not installed. So if I try to install it, it tells me
it's already installed. You get the picture...
