I purchased two PCI Dlink cards from compusa - the $20 ones. The chipset is
the RealTek RTL8139 -
rtl8139.c:v1.04 9/22/98 Donald Becker http://cesdis.gsfc.nasa.gov/linux/drivers/rtl8139.html
eth0: RealTek RTL8139 Fast Ethernet at 0xe800, IRQ 9, 00:50:ba:84:09:41.
eth1: RealTek RTL8139 Fast Ethernet at 0xe400, IRQ 10, 00:50:ba:84:10:94.
With the 2.2.x kernels, I have been very pleased. However, with the 2.4
kernel (test8), the machine would lock up in panic mode very often. I don't
have a head on this machine, so I never actually saw the message, but with the
2.2.x series, it is rock solid.
