[lug] Web scripts?

I am wondering what I would need in order to make a form or something that a
user can access via the web and change their email/shell password. Are there
scripts our there that can do this? Can I tie this into a database (like LDAP
maybe?) so users can also change their user info? I would appreciate it if
anyone could point me in the right direction. Thanks.
