[lug] International ISPs for Travelers

This might be slightly off topic, but...

Recently we have experienced problems with our international dial up isp
that our traveling executives use to connect to the internet while on the
road.

Most of these problems stem from the fact that the ISP is trying to
moderate all sorts of things via DHCP using their proprietary dialer
software that wacks our dns settings needed for VPN.

What I'd love to know if there is any Linux friendly international dial-up
provider (assuming that Linux folks would be less likely to try to fool
with stuff) that will give us straight dialup internet
connections.
