[lug] Laptop and Second Monitor

I recently upgraded to Mandrake 7.2, which comes with
XFREE86 4.0.  After the upgrade, whenever I switch my
monitor from the laptop to an attached external
monitor, I lose about %10 of the bottom of the screen.
 Has anyone else run into this problem?
