If you use pam (pluggable authentication modules) you can
configure it to use the ldap-pam module. I don't have an
RH box at hand so i can't tell you which RPMs you need to
install (on Debian it's libpam-ldap). The distribution comes
with sample configuration files that should be self-explanatory.
