well, i tried running the tftpd with xinetd, and just plain old inetd. i
tried running it with all sorts of perms. the best i could do was get
read, but no write access. i tried 777 and 666 perms.
finally, i downgraded to the tftp-server that came with redhat-6.2 and
restarted inetd. everything works like a charm now.
if anyone is using tftp-server 0.17 with success, please let me know.
thanks -charles
