why is it that a tarball of 2.4.1 from kernel.org doesnt show an option of
rio500 support as a module when i run 'make menuconfig'?
in /usr/src/linux/drivers/usb/, rio500.c and rio500_usb.c both exist. and
in /usr/src/linux/drivers/char/ there is a rio directory which holds a
myriad of files.
reading over the rio500 drivers page on sourceforge which is also in the
Documentation directory expanded from the 2.4.1 tar file, it asks you to
add modular support for rio500 within the kernel.
i don't see how this is possible. i've updated my modutils to the most
recent and as i had said before i am using 2.4.1 as the kernel. what am i
missing?
thanks! -charles
