I've used all sorts of Plextor drives under Linux with no problems.  I
remember hear some reports that the early Plextor drives had an issue
and would stop burning, and Plextor wouldn't support since you ran
Linux, however, I have never personally had a problem with a Plextor
drive...  And I run several personally.
