For tasks like that I use a keyboard macro.
I set it up to find the next file in dired, open it, run the commands
I want, save the file, and then bury the buffer.
Then I use `C-u C-u C-u C-x e' to run the macro a bunch of times.

Maybe there is some other way to do it.  I don't really use dired
frequently.
