Some of the default settings of Win2K are totally ridiculous (the
fade-in/fade-out menus come to mind).  If you spend a few minutes 
changing some of the settings its a lot more useable.

That said, I've foudn that Linux/Gnome desktop suits the way I 
work much better than any Windows I've ever used.
