I've found netsaint quite useful for this. It's not the easiest thing to
configure properly, and it really could use a good GUI config tool, but I
was much happier with netsaint than with "What's Up Gold".

Can anybody point me in the right direction to find an open source network
monitoring application? I'm looking for something along the lines of
What's Up Gold, where I can monitor http, https, smtp, icmp, etc. on my
network. Pretty graphics are optional.
