It looks like another Alternet-style service. In order to resolve any
of their domains, you have to configure your resolver to point to
their nameservers.  Anybody can do this, really.  It's just making
another set of root DNS servers, and hope that people use your system
rather than someone else's, like Network Solutions or whoever is doing
it now (I haven't really followed ICANN hoopla, what's the news?)

So, yes, you can get a .mp3 domain name through them, but nobody will
be able to get to it unless they know about new.net, or unless their
ISP's configured to recognize new.net.

As for their credibility as a business, I've never heard of them
before. Which doesn't really say much of anything except that they're
not a Really Big Name.
