[lug] debian install update

Hello LUG

The only traction I can get is a single big partition and a swap.  If I
have a 50 meg root, it bugs out.  And I really did not think to try a 1.8
gig linux partition, but that is what I did.

Everything was going tickity pooh until it got into Latex/Tex area,
package install.  For what ever reason,just spontaneously it rebooted!

Right now I am doing it again via apt-get which prompted me to do a dpkg
--configure -a to fix the interrupted install.

Right now it is grinding thru that process.
