[lug] modem newbies

I have had trouble with a USR internal PCI modem (non-winmodem).  I did a search
on Google for "<model number> on Linux" and found a document on the very modem
I was dealing with.  It said to use the setserial command.  I haven't had any
problems since.

I think I have a hard copy of this document.  I will try to dig it up and post
the URL when I get home tonight.
