[lug] sound & modem irq??

i have a e-machine running mandrake7.2. i just installed a external modem. 
the modem works fine!!(my first linox box..im using netzero and juno as my 
isp!!!)however since the modem install i have lost the soundcard on my 
winblows partion and on linux...my linux install is recent, so i had never 
got my sooundcard configed. but hardrake saw it and listed it....since my 
souncard is not on the list or detectable by harddrake. My soundcard is a 
cirrus crystal..its was working fine in winblows ...now its no where to be 
found and is undetectable. also...souncard is built in...i tried to load the 
driver maual by mopprobe and insmod it said error...bussy. PLEASE HELP..NO 
MP3s!!!
