[lug] rpm's

Having a few problems here with my rpm db, and with wine.
Here are the following error msgs for the rpm's:

RPM version 4.0.2
# red-carpet
error: cannot get exclusive lock on /var/lib/rpm/Packages
error: cannot open Packages index using db3 - Operation not permitted (1)
# rpm --rebuilddb
error: cannot get shared lock on /var/lib/rpm/Packages
error: cannot open Packages index
also get the same msgs when i run gnorpm

and for wine:
[luke at howe1 .wine]$ wine .wine/fake_windows/Lotus/Notes/notes.exe
Invoking /opt/wine/bin/wine.bin .wine/fake_windows/Lotus/Notes/notes.exe ...
Wine failed with return code 1
/usr/bin/wine: line 6:  2003 Terminated              tail -f $log_name


just a lil something to make thinking harder...
