transfer just means that you have an existing registration  with someone
else and that they would be your new registrar.

I would check to make sure that your existing registrar isn't going to
charge you a transfer fee as well (network solutions has a $135 charge for
a transfer but I don't know if that is to transfer to them  or from them)
