One of my reasons for asking people how they deal with fetchmail is that
I have a limited modem connection, and running fetchmail at the wrong
moment could kill something else more important to me (saturate the
modem). I think I like the command line version; if I had a 24/7 connect
and traffic shaping to keep fetchmail from hogging things, I'd probably
go with a daemon. But this is one of those things that I am interested
in knowing about how other people deal with it.
